Javvo, Inc. was founded on the principle that education is a basic human right. Our goal is to make education accessible, affordable, and effective, and the methods we use to reach this goal make use of common technologies such as Java, Flash, MySQL, and PHP.

We believe that for our e-learning software to be available universally, it should be cross-platform and should rely on open-source technologies.

In 2002, our team developed a web-based, asynchronous e-learning system based on an Application Server Provider (ASP) model.

This involves the ability for instructors to create courses, grade students, and add course documents. The student can listen to lecture audio, follow lecture transcripts, keep up with course study guides, submit assignments for evaluation, and check grades.
